Ian Thompson, the author of a new book that tells the story of his late wife, Maggie Houlihan, gave a great presentation on Encinitas Viewpoint last week.
During his talk, Ian shows how Maggie’s story is especially relevant now – one decade later – as the current mayor and city council consistently vote in lockstep and set policy that favors the developers who support them.
Ian’s book is titled, “An Inconvenient Voice: One Woman’s Fight Against Injustice.” The book is available from Amazon.
Maggie Houlihan died of cancer in 2011 at age 63. She served on the council for 11 years and was mayor twice, in 2004 and 2009.
